The Honors Learning Center, Inc.
has been corporately approved by both
CITA* and SACS*. The Honors' Center in Chattanooga,
Tennessee (corporate research and development center) is the first learning
center in Tennessee to receive CITA and SACS accreditation.
The corporate approval by CITA and SACS means that the Honors
Learning Center franchise company has met the twelve standards for
corporations which provide supplemental education services.
Also, "systematic and strategic planning by the company's President
has resulted in a solid foundation for future growth and sound financial
condition. The educational programs were research based, developed by
professionals, implemented by trained professionals, and
were continuously improved and quality oriented. The curriculum,
management system, and instructional delivery system were of the highest
quality and could be recommended to public and private schools, parents,
and other interested parties."
The accreditation of the corporate research and development center
by CITA and SACS indicates that "the educational mission is clearly
documented and supported by Center, staff, and the corporate franchise
company." In order to receive accreditation, "the curricula must be
rigorously defined and organized. The methods and materials must be
professionally sanctioned and instruction must be in groups of a size
that encourages and permits the effective treatment of individual
differences."
